WINTER HOUSE LEAUG 2024 SEASON

• START DATE:
  • January 7, 2024 (time and location will be emailed to registered members first week of January 2024)
• END DATE:
  • April 28, 2024

• DRAFT DATE:
  • January 7 & 14, 2024 – time and location will be emailed to registered members first week of January 2024.
  • Team drafting will be conducted by the league conveners and coaches who were involved in running the Fall Developmental sessions. Coaches and league conveners will build teams by means of fair draft, number of teams will be based on the total number of registered players and available coaches. Maximum of 12 players, minimum of 10 per team.
  • The objective is to create balance teams and promote parity among teams so that each player and spectator enjoys a competitive season.
  • Parents are advised to notify the league convenours if they wish to have their siblings on the same team. Due to the competitive nature of the league, we will give little priority on players who wanted to be on the same team as their “carpool relatives/friends” we reserve the rights to approve or deny the request based on the teams’ competitive level.
  • Team names are predetermined by the league.

• TEAM PRACTICE:
  • There is practice time available for each team, once a week every Tuesdays (some Mondays and Wednesdays maybe available but NO GURANTEE) for (90) ninety minutes. Venue, day and time will be advised after the draft day. Start time 6:30pm (younger players) or 8:00pm (older players).
  • Your child must be available on TUESDAYS evening for practice, SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS for games. If these days do not work with your family schedule, please read our CANCELLATION and TRANSFER POLICY below prior to registering your child.
• UNIFORMS:
  • A set of uniform and warm-up t-shirts are included in the program fee, they will be distributed to the players one week before the first scheduled official game.
• LEAGUE GAMES:
  • January 21, 2024 to April 28, 2024.
  • Games are either on Saturdays or Sundays between 9:00am and 7:00pm. Game is usually 60-75 minutes long.
  • Team standings and games schedule will be posted here.
  • Games are officiated by league referees.
  • Medals for teams and individuals.
  • Each player will have the opportunity to have equal playing time, to be engaged in the basketball action, and to try different playing positions.
• BASKETBALL:
  • Players must bring their own basketball to team practices/games. No sharing.
    • Size #5 (27.5″) for U-Sports Division and Jr.WNBA
    • Size #6 (28.5″)  for NCAA, NBA and WNBA Divisions
    • Size #7 (adult size) for PRO Division
  • Basketball can also be purchased online during registration and will be delivered to your child on the 1st day of the program.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy:

Parents may opt to withdraw their child 14 days prior to the start date of
the program and receive the amount paid less $50 (non-refundable administrative
operation fee). No credit  will be issued if withdrawal request was made
less than 14 days prior to first scheduled assessment date or if the program
has already started. Notification of withdrawal from the program is to be sent
to inquiry@miltonstags.com.

Our club policy requires a $25 program transfer fee for any player who
chooses to switch to a different program (program, day, time or location) within the club.

These fees are intended to cover the administrative and all related costs
associated with transferring or cancelling the player’s registration. We
believe that this policy ensures fairness and consistency for all players while
also providing flexibility for those who wish to make changes to their program.

No refund or credit is issued for missed practices, cancellations due
to inclement weather or school board cancellations.
