Boys and Girls - Grade 3 to Grade 12

This is a complete league experience, featuring organized teams, scheduled games, and certified professional referees to provide a high-quality and fair playing environment.

Players are placed into divisions grouped by both gender and age, ensuring balanced competition and appropriate skill development at every level

** New for season 2026-2027: One 60-minute team training session each week will be led by our elite coaching staff, with support from the team coaches. This enhanced training model is designed to accelerate player development by providing consistent, high-quality instruction.

**Unlike regular team practices in previous seasons, these weekly sessions are led by our experienced professional coaches rather than volunteer coaches, with team volunteer coaches assisting throughout the session.

The first 60 minutes will focus on individual skill development, including ball handling, shooting, footwork, and other fundamental basketball skills. The final 30 minutes will be dedicated to team development, where players will work with their respective team coaches on offensive and defensive concepts, plays, game situations, and overall team execution. Our coaches will remain on the court during this portion of the session, working alongside the team coaches to share their knowledge and experience while providing additional instruction and feedback to both players and coaches. This collaborative approach helps maximize the effectiveness of each team practice and supports the continued development of everyone involved.

This program is designed to offer young athletes a fun, fair, and competitive environment where they can grow their skills, gain confidence, and enjoy the game of basketball.

Season Schedule

• Season Start Date: Sunday, November 22, 2026
• Season End Date: Sunday, April 4, 2027 (subject to change)
• First Phase: Draft Days

DRAFT DAY SCHEDULE (Subject to Change) – at Velodrome – 2015 PanAm Boulevard

2:00PM-3:30PM – Jr. WNBA and WNBA (Girls)

3:30PM-5:00PM – USPORTS (Grades 3 & 4)

5:00PM-6:30PM – NCAA (Grades 5 & 6 )

6:30PM-8:00PM – NBA (Grades 7 & 8 )

8:00PM-9:30PM – PRO (Grades 9-11)

Process

The team selection will be conducted fairly by league conveners and coaches to promote balanced and competitive teams. Team numbers are based on the total number of players and available coaches, with a minimum of 10 players per team.

• Sibling requests will be prioritized (please email the conveners).
• Requests for friends or carpooling will be considered, but competitive balance takes priority.
• All team names are predetermined by the league.

Practice/Training: Noted above.

• Player must be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to be eligible to participate, though they will only practice on one of those days.
• Practice start times are generally 6:00 PM (younger players) and 7:30 PM (older players)
• While you may request preferred practice nights, we cannot guarantee specific days due to coach and gym availability.

Games

• Game Day: Sundays
• First League Game: Sunday, January 3, 2027
• Game Times: Between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM (game durations: 60–75 mins)
• Full schedule will be released after the draft.

 Uniforms

• Players will receive a uniform set (jersey and shorts).
• Distributed after the draft sessions.

 Game Experience & Recognition

• All players will enjoy equal playing time and opportunities to try various positions.
• Games are officiated by trained referees with experience appropriate to the league level.
• Team and individual medal awards will be presented at the end of the season. Only Champions, Runner-Up and 3rd Place medals will be awarded medals.

If the practice days or Sunday game times conflict with your family’s schedule or other sports commitments, we kindly ask you to review our cancellation and refund policy before registering.

Basketball

Players must bring their own basketball to team practices/games. No sharing.

• Size #5 (27.5″) for U-Sports Division and Jr. WNBA
• Size #6 (28.5″) for NCAA, NBA and WNBA Divisions
• Size #7 (adult size) for PRO Division

Cancellation and Transfer Policy:

Parents may opt to withdraw their child 14 days prior to the start date of the program and receive the amount paid less $50 (non-refundable administrative operation fee). No credit will be issued if withdrawal request was made less than 14 days prior to first scheduled assessment date or if the program has already started. Notification of withdrawal from the program is to be sent to inquiry@miltonstags.com.

Our club policy requires a $25 program transfer fee for any player who chooses to switch to a different program (program, day, time or location) within the club.

These fees are intended to cover the administrative and all related costs associated with transferring or cancelling the player’s registration. We believe that this policy ensures fairness and consistency for all players while also providing flexibility for those who wish to make changes to their program.

No refund or credit is issued for missed practices, cancellations due to inclement weather or school board cancellations.
